Chinemerem 'Eme' Omeh b. 1994
Chinemerem ‘Eme’ Omeh, originally from Nsukka, Nigeria and now based in Atlanta, creates paintings as a form of personal and cultural reflection. As a child, Omeh faced the challenges of dyslexia and struggled in traditional classroom settings. Language often felt inaccessible, and school was a place of frustration rather than connection. It was through painting that he discovered a way to express himself clearly and honestly. What began as a personal outlet evolved into a powerful artistic voice. Drawing from memory, family life, and folklore, Omeh’s work explores transformation, resilience, and identity with striking emotional clarity.
Omeh earned a BA in fine and applied arts from the University of Nigeria. He has taken part in numerous solo and group exhibitions across Georgia, Miami, New York and London.
