ACA Galleries is proud to announce the representation of Chinemerem ‘Eme’ Omeh. Born in 1994 in Nsukka, Nigeria, Omeh joins the gallery with a deeply personal practice rooted in storytelling, memory, and transformation. We’re honored to welcome him into the ACA family.
Omeh, originally from Nigeria and now based in Atlanta, creates paintings as a form of personal and cultural reflection. As a child, Omeh faced the challenges of dyslexia and struggled in traditional classroom settings. Language often felt inaccessible, and school was a place of frustration rather than connection. It was through painting that he discovered a way to express himself clearly and honestly. What began as a personal outlet evolved into a powerful artistic voice. Drawing from memory, family life, and folklore, Omeh’s work explores transformation, resilience, and identity with striking emotional clarity.
Ultimately, his is a story of success. Through perseverance and an unshakable commitment to his craft, Omeh turned early struggles into strength. His layered canvases—filled with recurring symbols like open doors, tiled floors, and equations—trace his journey from silence to self-definition. Influenced by both Renaissance painters and contemporary image-makers, Omeh has developed a visual language all his own. His paintings speak not only to the past he carries, but to the future he continues to shape.
Omeh has exhibited across Georgia, Miami and New York.
Most recently, Omeh exhibited at Hope93 Gallery in London.
